India : A Feudalistic Nation

Is India a feudal society.

Of all the progress we are boasting in IT services, which seems to enjoy a culture alienated from the rest of India, it seems people will tend to show their feudalistic attitude to their sub-ordinates. How many managers like to hear criticism from their reportees. There may be many who boasts of such an attitude. But the ground reality will be same as saying India doesnt have any poverty related deaths. How many guys dare to tell their supervisors that they are on a wrong path. 80 percent wont express it. 10 percent may try to express it in an indirect way. And the rest 10 percent. They will dare to say it directly to their supervisors or tries to escalate it. Of it five percent will be heard by the managers and will be gracefully discarded. And the last five percent who has escalated will become the party spoilers in the organisation. This is how a typical Indian company works ( Never to mention about the government sector)

Indians, typically will boast of a bottom-up approach. But the sad truth is instructions always comes from the top. Those less fortunate guys at the bottom of the pyramid should follow the dictate, like it or not. This can be seen in all parts of life, whether inside company or in the polical parties that rule India. No-one likes to go behind an idea/concept told by a person who is below him in the pyramid.

WTF !!!
