Learn from mistakes. every one would have read this. but how many have implemented it. and thats where the difference comes.
now when the world is debating the illegal kidney market, and how the poor are being exploited by doctors who are supposed to save lives, there is one small nation in the asian continent who is laughing at others. IRAN. they have a government which accepts their mistakes and is rectifying it.
and that makes even USA envy of them and is learning what Iran has done to counter the illegal kidney selling.
It works like this. A person wants a kidney of say type A. but his relatives have kidney of type B. so they can approach the state sponsored kidney bank and deposit type B kidney and take the type they wants. And its executed in such a foolproof mechanism that no-one other than their citizens can take part in it. so there is no scope of kidney transplant as part of medical tourism :).
So why dont every country learn from this ? is it more of inferiority complex that they dont want to learn from Iran. suppose if this model has been executed in USA, I am sure, every country would have implemented this model by now. the history proves this.
Frndz, think of this model in India. may be they have to start pilot testing in the state of bihar. :)
